Semi-Intensive Courses for Government of Canada Employees
These 11-week courses are designed for government employees who wish to maintain their level of French or aim to achieve or renew their level B or C certification. They offer an excellent balance between language study and a full-time job.
Courses are available at beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels. Placement testing is conducted prior to the start of the program to determine the appropriate level for each student.
The schedule includes 10 weeks of two 2.5-hour classes per week, followed by a final week of intensive 30-hour training. The schedule will be confirmed before the course starts and is as follows:
- Week 1 to 10: Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday, 9-11:30 am or 12:30-3:00 pm, Atlantic time.
- Week 11: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 3:00 pm, Atlantic time.
The learning resources used in this program have been specifically developed by the Federal Public Service Commission to support the career growth and advancement of its employees.
