Part-Time Day and Evening Courses for Government of Nova Scotia Employees in Halifax
This 10-week program is offered four times throughout the year.
Classes are offered Monday to Thursday from 9-11:15am, 1-3:15pm, 3:45-6pm, and 6:30-8:45pm. On Fridays classes are offered from 9-11:15am and 1-3:15pm. Classes will take place at 5657, Spring Garden Road, Suite 100, Halifax.
Please note that not every level is offered at each time slot.
Classes will be once per week for 2 hours and 15 minutes.
There are four cycles within the Part-time program: Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced and Perfectionnement. Each cycle has four levels. Students are granted a certificate of attendance upon satisfactory completion of each 10-week program.
For the Conversation classes, please note the following prerequisites:
- Beginner Conversation: Beginner 104
- Intermediate Conversation: Intermediate 104
- Advanced Conversation: Advanced 104
Please note that if there is a holiday during the session, there will be no classes on that day. To make up for those classes, there will be a make-up class at the end of the session and/or 15 minutes will be added to each class starting with the second class of the session.
The Office of Acadian Affairs and Francophonie, with funding from the Canada-N.S. Agreement on French-language services, is covering the course, and course material, fee for a certain number of participants from the government of Nova Scotia.

Please note that once your registration has been processed, an email will be sent to your superviser for them to approve your enrollment in the course.
If we have not received their approval by March 27th, your application will be considered incomplete, and your registration will be cancelled.
